Description
CatFlash Mittens is an 512KB / 4 Mbit reprogrammable flash cartridge board for the Game Gear.
It provides 512KB ROM space with an onboard CPLD mapper that handles Sega-style bank switching. So it runs games well beyond the standard cartridge size limit, it's fully compatible with devkitSMS banked code.
Perfect for homebrew releases, demos, ROM hacks, and development builds.
Saves are written straight to flash, so there is no coin-cell battery to die and need replacing, and the board drops into a standard cartridge shell for a clean looking cart.
It can be reprogrammed as many times as needed.
Built on Raphnet's proven open design, manufactured and tested by Two Black Cat Games.
Notes:
A compatible cartridge flash programmer is required to write software to the cartridge, such as Raphnet one + Raphnet GameGear adapter.
It has also been tested with Sanni open cart programmer and a RetroDumper GameGear to MD slot adapter (available in Amazon Japan).
